International Inbound Trade Missions
Inbound trade missions provide you with an opportunity for face-to-face contact with pre-qualified potential buyers. These events have proven highly successful for many local businesses, and opened the door for long-term trade relationships. In the past few years the Fresno CITD has coordinated trade missions with Mexico, South America, Canada, China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Philippines, European Union, and many more counties.
International Outbound Trade Missions and Trade Shows
Each year, dozens of companies participate in Fresno CITD organized trade missions to a variety of international destinations. Accompanied by Fresno CITD staff and local partners, companies are escorted to these global locations to learn first hand about the business environment and culture. Additionally, participants meet with potential foreign buyers to discuss business opportunities. trade missions also may be organized around a specific trade show, offering participants the opportunity to attend the trade show or become and exhibitor.
Training Programs
Throughout the year, the Fresno CITD organizes and conducts training workshops, seminars, and other professional educational programs focused on international trade issues. We offer a wide range of training, ranging from introductory sessions to advanced curriculum, to serve both novice and experienced exporters. Introductory workshops include our Basics of Exporting and Importing into the U.S. workshops. Additionally, the Fresno CITD offers a certificated training programs that cover the full export process called the California Agricultural Export Certificate Training Program (CalAgX) which specifically targets agricultural specialty crops exporters, and customizes training to meet needs unique to this agricultural industry.
Trade Events and Conferences
Along with the many training and educational programs offered, the Fresno CITD hosts a wide range of international trade events and conferences throughout California. These events are excellent opportunities for companies and individuals to learn of new developments in international trade, hear from international guest speakers, and network with professionals in international trade.

The Fresno CITD can help you with questions relating to international shipping and logistics to ensure the safe and timely delivery of your goods.
Global Market Research
The Fresno CITD conducts applied research on international business issues such as NAFTA and ISO 9000. The Center also provides Asia and Latin America marketing studies, impact analyses, agribusiness studies, and targeted export industry analyses. Preference is given to research projects with the potential to substantially enhance regional employment and income levels. Some projects are conducted on a "no fee" basis by program staff. Other projects are conducted on a fixed or variable price cost-sharing basis.
