WUSATA Mexico Foodservice Inbound Trade Mission July 12-16, 2010
The California and Washington Departments of Agriculture, In cooperation with the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA), will be hosting the WUSATA Mexico Foodservice Inbound Mission July 12 - 14, 2010.
Mexico continues to offer great export opportunities for U.S. suppliers of agricultural products for the hotel, restaurant and institutional food service sector. Upscale hotels and restaurants that cater to international tourism are the most important sectors to target. Consumption of food and nonalcoholic beverages has grown consistently since 2000. Growth for food represented almost 31% of growth in the period 2000-2007, while beverages grew 39% in the same period. This will be an excellent opportunity for companies to establish contacts with key buyers in the Foodservice industry in Mexico.
