USDA Agricultural Trade Office - Shanghai, Summer Fancy Food Buying Mission
The California Centers for International Trade Development in cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture will be coordinating participation in the following activity:
This will be an excellent opportunity for companies to participate in the growing retail market in China.
China is an ideal target for many food and agricultural products. With 1.3 billion inhabitants, China represents 20.7% of the world’s population. The U.S. continues to hold the top position in both overall agricultural exports to China and in consumer-oriented products. As incomes continue to grow, China is showing signs of becoming a more consumption-driven economy.
Participating companies are encouraged to be export-ready, bring samples and product lists to events, and be prepared to discuss pricing.
Suitable products include, but are not limited to:
- Snack Foods
- Frozen Products
- Wine & Beverage Products
- Dried Fruits & Nuts
- Pears/Cherries
Products must be at least 50% U.S. agricultural origin by weight, excluding added water and packaging.
Company profiles will be available for distribution, detailing specific categorical requests of participating buyers.
