USDA Agricultural Trade Office – South Korean Winter Fancy Food Buying Mission

The California Centers for International Trade Development in cooperation with the California Department of Food and Agriculture will be coordinating the USDA Agricultural Trade Office – South Korean Winter Fancy Food Buying Mission in San Francisco and Fresno, California.

The United States-Korea Free Trade Agreement signed in 2011 has allowed South Korea to become an ideal target for many food and agricultural products. South Korea is increasingly turning to food imports to satisfy consumers' demands for greater food variety, lower prices, and convenience. In 2010, Koreans bought $5.3 billion in agricultural products, becoming the United States’ fifth largest agricultural export market.
