Project Overview

Project Overview of Grant Fund Usage

The State Center Community College District (SCCCD) has been awarded a grant through the Center for International Trade Development (CITD) to help you prepare your students for tomorrow’s challenges today. This grant can partially or fully fund full-time faculty to attend workshops or travel in order to internationalize course curriculum, pursue study abroad opportunities, or explore other international development options.

This grant provides faculty with an opportunity to share resources, increase industry skills and knowledge, infuse international content into course curriculum, and make presentations to the faculty at large to stimulate interest in internationalizing curricula in the college classroom.

Some examples for projects and workshops:

  • Workshops for teaching and learning foreign languages
  • International business and faculty development conferences
  • International agriculture institutes
  • Study abroad for faculty
  • Development of curriculum modules or approaches that are intercultural
  • Development of international comparisons in any discipline
  • Professional assistance when applying for Fulbright and other programs

Full-time faculty are encouraged to think of other projects that would be of value to their areas.  All projects that include International travel will require SCCCD Board approval, so allow a 2 month minimum for this process when submitting applications.

If you have any questions or need assistant, please contact our Center at (559) 324-6401, or via email at citd [at] scccd [dot] edu
