International Trade Missions & Promotions
The CITD’s international market development activities have had a significant and positive impact on California’s food and agricultural export industries.
The USDA has worked aggressively to open new markets through export promotion programs and the breaking down trade barriers. With 95% of the world’s consumers of food and agricultural product residing outside U.S. borders, it is vital that the U.S. builds on its established momentum of increasing exports. Failure to do so will result in global market share decline due to the aggressive export promotion programs of foreign competitors.
