PURPOSE: To ensure that the company’s organic and Food Safety programs are compliant with all relevant auditing requirements including the National Organic Program and Food Safety Modernization Act, to review Good Agricultural Practice programs and assist in the training of personnel to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:   Agricultural experience a plus. Field Food Safety Compliance Technician shall be self-directed and be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision; must be organized and detail oriented. Must maintain strict confidentiality about all aspects of job. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required, along with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point. Employee may be required to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed. Willingness and ability to travel extensively including some evenings and weekend travel. Seasonal relocation to Coachella during the winter season. Bi-lingual, English/Spanish a plusMust have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record. Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist the Food Safety department in developing Food Safety, organic, regulatory initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as compliance with specific customer requirements. Verify and ensure that growers, harvesters and labor contractors maintain compliance with all applicable Food Safety, regulatory and Organic requirements Field Food Safety Compliance Technicians will provide support for third party and internal Food Safety audits and their preparations and follow up (GFS, NOP, LGMA, customer and regulatory). Assist in the training of personnel to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards Identify areas of potential Food Safety concern and ensure corrective actions are implemented  Protect security and confidentiality of company information at all times. Establish and maintain effective working relations with all applicable representatives of Grimmway Farms, growers, harvesters, suppliers, etc. Perform other related tasks and job duties as directed by Director of Quality for Farming Operations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work in wet and damp environment. Exposed to outdoor given climate. Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. PURPOSE: Transport product, packaging materials, ice, and related supplies from harvesting sites to packing sheds and vice versa. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Previous truck driving experience with manual transmission is preferred. Must be able to drive double trailers. Ability to read field tickets. Strength and ability to safely maneuver a diesel truck pulling a set of loaded trailers. Must have the ability to travel, 5 month out of the year, as required to: Yuma, Coachella and Westmorland. Must have a valid California Class A driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record and have own transportation with acceptable insurance. Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Shuttle trailers from harvesting site to packing shed and back. Transport packaging materials, ice and other supplies as assigned safely to various field sites. Load trailers and/or Bobtail truck manually with product and follow all safety rules in-house and on public roads. Assist with general farm harvest and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Must be able and willing to travel out of town for extended periods. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. PURPOSE: This position will be responsible for the general oversight, implementation, and management of all facility and farming food safety programs. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Masters in Microbiology, Food Science, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences or related field is required. Ph.D. in Microbiology, Food Science, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences or related field preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in a food safety related position. Must be experienced and knowledgeable in the areas of food safety, product safety, document control, and regulatory issues pertaining to raw and processed agricultural commodities. Candidate must have extensive knowledge of FSMA, Good Agricultural/Manufacturing Programs, HACCP/HARPC and Global Food Safety Initiative audit schemes. Previous staff management experience is required. Must have experience creating, updating, and implementing food safety programs. Must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously requiring communication and interaction with all levels of the organization. Must be able to read and understand written information in English. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record. Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen and background screen. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Design, implement, monitor, and administer Food Safety programs at multiple facilities and farming locations and ensure their compliance with all relevant requirements. Ensure facilities and farms are prepared for both scheduled and unannounced government, regulatory, third party, and customer food safety audits. Perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions on any food safety issues. Oversee product and water testing programs.Provide direction and leadership to Food Safety Department personnel. Develop, train and assess the performance of Food Safety Department staff. Provide recommendations to management in relation to food safety compliance and improvements. Interface with plant operations team to lead the quality agenda, review measured progress, and work collaboratively to achieve defined objectives. Maintain food safety system documentation. Additional projects and duties as it relates to this position. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to occasionally move about inside the office, in food processing facilities, and in the farming fields. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. Ability to work outdoors. Ability to visually inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F); must be able to work in a high noise area. JOB TITLE:                   LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST JOB LOCATION:                  DIGIORGIO OFFICE – ARVIN, CALIFORNIA REPORTS TO:              DIRECTOR EMPLOYEE LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT PURPOSE: This individual will work closely with the Director to create and implement strategic initiatives for employee learning and development. The position will provide administrative support for the company development programs and learning management system, is the primary translation resource and Trainer for Spanish language content and training delivery, will conduct needs assessments, training evaluations, curriculum design and curation, and deliver training in a variety of topics, in English and Spanish, for the administrative and developmental employee groups.      JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/Development, Training & Development, Organizational Development, Business Administration or a related area. Or, in lieu of education, the APTD certification with five years of progressive expertise in training delivery, instructional design and learning technologies. Minimum of two years experience facilitating professional development and leadership training that includes course design and application of adult learning principles in at least four of the following areas: Career/professional development; diversity/cultural inclusion; leadership/management; frontline supervision; communications; performance management; change management; and coaching/mentoring. Must have well-developed, oral and written English and Spanish, delivery and translation skills that validate comprehension and fluency. Proven proficiency of oral and written expression in facilitating training programs in classroom and virtual environment in English and Spanish. Effective technical use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs in training design and delivery. Proficiency in the phases of instructional design/delivery (ADDIE). Experience with the role responsibilities of Trainer or Administrator in an LMS system preferred. Experience with e-learning development software such as Articulate or Adobe Captivate preferred. Utilize ADDIE for existing and new training content. Analyze training needs to design and develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs. For new content, design, build, and maintain web-based, multi-media eLearning modules using authoring tools. Maintain a subject matter expert level of ability in the Learning Management System within Ultimate Software. Acting as resource and system trainer within the company. Act as training resource to functional managers across the business to assist in the creation and roll-out of their functional training material. Holds role of Trainer in the LMS and executes role responsibilities in the system. Manages the Training Center calendar, room set-up, room access, and related communication and service needs. Advocate and be a positive change agent for current trends in training, technology and instructional delivery methods. Prepare the business case for recommendations of training content, providers and platforms. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems focusing on continuous improvement to benefit employees and the business. Models active learning through continual professional development and learning. Is a HR team member and maintains discretion and confidentiality of information and materials.
